The Communications Team is a vital team for the Global Methodist Church of Virginia. This is a volunteer team with a big job, but we know God has already provided all the help we need among His people. If you’ve been nudged here by God, please know it doesn’t take a huge time commitment or super ninja tech skills to be a big help in sharing God’s good news about what He is doing here in Virginia. We do need volunteers with specific skills sets, and we’ll share the details of that below, but literally everyone with a social media account, a phone, or a church home can help us spread the word, and the Word.
What we need:
- Volunteers - if you have communication skills and/or a desire to help improve our communication across the VA GMC connection let us know.
- We're looking for people with: social media experience, general communications skills, photography experience, videography experience, blogging, graphic design, video editing, content creation, writing articles.
- Photographers/videographers/graphic designers we could call on to help capture events around the conference (send us your contacts)
- Submit up-to-date contact info for you and for your church to be included on the website and church mailing lists.
- Church/Mission/Ministry Content:
- take photos or short videos of God things happening at your church or ministry.
- share written or recorded testimonies of what God is doing in your church, ministry, community or your own life.
- send us updates on opportunities for other churches to partner with you in missions, projects, online studies, training events, or needs across VA.
- tag your church's social media posts with #globalmethodistva to make it easy for us (and others) to see and share the amazing things you are doing.
- Engagement- share posts, forward newsletters, make sure bulletin inserts get printed out, so others can connect and praise God for what's happening in VA.
We look forward to all of our brothers and sisters in the GMC of Virginia being part of sharing the glory of what God is doing among us and helping others get connected to His kingdom building work.
